South Carolina Gamecock's Fan-bulance: The Wildest SEC Tailgate Story Ever Told

What do you get when you combine two of the biggest South Carolina Gamecock fans, a wild idea, and an online government auction? You get the most legendary, most unique tailgating vehicle in all of SEC football—the one, the only, Fan-bulance! 💥🚑

Jim and Michael are notorious in the University of South Carolina fanbase for their iconic, one-of-a-kind custom ambulance, a rig so epic it has its own IV pole for serving up a very special frosty beverage.

When faced with the quandary of how to transport a large group family and friends to tailgate at their favorite place on earth (Williams–Brice Stadium, popularly known as "Willy B", in Columbia, South Carolina), they considered all the options that might work: taxi, bus, fire truck...until they came across an ambulance online. After successfully bidding on two ambulances at private auction, the fan-bulance was officially born.

The fan-bulance has it all: from tons of storage and outlets, to a fully loaded garnet gurney (fondly known as the garney), decked out with three grilles and ready to cook burgers.

Our host J.R. Greene sat down with Jim and Michael to uncover the story of the fan-bulance, their wildest anecdotes, and chat game-day superstitions.

Listen now to find out how they pulled off this incredible feat of fandom on Superfan Diaries, where all your questions (and ours) about the fan-bulance are answered.
